Just don't go to Rainbow very condescending and they treat you like you shouldn't be a concerned parent. A bunch of kids working there.

NO HOSPITALITY GHETTO STAFF. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU THINK YOUR CHILD WILL BE ADMITTED! I don't know where to start! Upon our arrival around 9p we actually got registered and received a room very fast. Nice doctor and nurses but they paired us with a nurse(Kate Burns) with a VERY SEVERE COUGH! You could hear her down the halls and she didnt wear a face mask!? Just hurling over and over! I was so uncomfortable with her in our presence just coughing away like she needed to be hospitalized. I should have asked for a different nurse:x

Well, when my mother took me to the Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital for my G-tube removed. I am so happy about it!

I do not want to say it was because they are a Mexican family, but it seemed that was a reason they were not being treated well.

If you come here you will more than likely receive different information from different nurses about your child's treatment. They told me my daughter would have a second xray in the morning. Morning comes they have no clue of a second xray. I had to tell them that she needed a second x-ray like all of a sudden no one knew of that??? It was indeed confirmed. Oh and to top that off the kid wheeling us around no man's land in the basement had orders to take us to the "adult" x-rays??? Lol MY DAUGHTER IS THREE YEARS OLD! Even he didnt understand. How does foolishness like this happen consistently in a hospital? Turns out it was in fact for Peds radiology.....smh

I am very disappointed in the staff and the way my brother in law and his family were treated there.

Really good hosptial. Never had a problem with them.

Finally, my room was shared with a bunch of rude Africans laughing at and mocking me and my child (in their language like cowards)on the other side of the curtain. I was finally fed up and ready to go.

For how much his family is paying for their stay, I would have expected them to be treated fairly, and for the staff to know what's going on and come to our aid when needed.

My brother in law is a very young child, and autistic. We did all we could, but the staff ignored us asking nicely for help, or what to do.

My baby boy decided to come two months early. We were transported to Rainbows NICU from ACMC. Everyone here has been so nice and caring for my son. I am so pleased with the staff and the hospital. Everything has been great and I fully trust them.

The nurse told me I would be able to be by her side up until she was asleep for her sedation, BUT I was forced by (Marilyn Kurcz) to immediately enter some empty waiting room as they wheeled her away. I WAS COMPLETELY ALONE behind a closed door with no window. 30 min later they brought my daughter out from her sedation room still asleep laid out completely straight looking "dead" like I really needed to see that?????!!! I had already been nervous about this whole thing.

My little brother in law, who comes from a Mexican family had a major back surgery here. We went to visit him, and right from the beginning, it was a nightmare trying to find out where he was. We had a room number, we had a name, and the reception desk still have us trouble. We finally found out what floor he was on and went to his room. Every now and then he got up and had to get sick in a bag they gave us. Which was fine because we calmed him down and understood what we needed to do. Someone came in to change his iv and didn't even know what kind of surgery that he had. She began to lift his bed, and we advised against it because he had major back surgery. He then started to get sick again and she did not know what to do. We pressed the button to call a nurse, and the desk we're all the rns and nurses were was literally right outside the door and no one came to our aid. I then asked them in a very caring manner for help and they all looked at me like I was crazy. One of the girls came in the room, looked at him getting sick in a bag, and walked right out without saying a word.

Oh and they like to add on different "surprise" procedures at the last minute even after you've received a run down of everything from your "first" nurse. Oh your daughter needs a bath just for an endoscopy to "prevent spread of infection" EVEN THOUGH NURSE KATE DOWNSTAIRS IS SPREADING THE FLU????!!!!! And my final nurse of many gave me a menu for me to order her food. OMG! I call down there and MY DAUGHTER ISN'T EVEN IN THERE SYSTEM YET??!!!!! SMH!! Took over an hour for my daughter's food to arrive and by then we were leaving.
