We were in the market for a sectional, a sofa and a loveseat. We found what we wanted here and during checkout as soon as the sales person opened a line of credit in my name and ran the charge she says "oh no, I guess we don't have it in stock." So either the sales people don't know how to use the inventory system or they flat out lie to make the sale. So be warned that you will be on the hook for payment much before you receive the product or even that they have it ready for delivery.
I do not recommend Value City Furniture.
The day before it was supposed to be delivered we received a call saying that now the table and chairs couldn't be delivered until the following week, I was slightly irritated but figured no big deal. The next week again the day before it was supposed to be delivered we got a call saying the table would be there the next day but we would have to wait for the chairs until the following week.
Then she goes on about a new policy about how they can do a partial delivery but to get the missing piece in we may have to pay a second delivery charge. The whole interaction turned me off to ever coming back to the store and if I'm being honest I would have cancelled the whole transaction if I could do it over again.
The price was decent and we are happy with the table and chairs so far just be prepared to wait an extended amount of time to actually receive what you purchased.
Got a warranty on furniture that was bought and the communication between them and the warranty center is absolutely horrible. I have had two claims on the furniture I bought here and every claim was a nightmare. With the first one the store manager was supposed to call me and never did and I called the store multiple times. Second time the store kept claiming they never received the claim and did absolutely nothing to help us make it right or anything. We had to call both the warranty line and the store multiple times over the course of 3 months to get this resolved. Been rather ridiculous dealing with the incompetence of the 2 companies and their communication. On a bright note the gentlemen I talked to about picking up my replacement part was very friendly.
My wife and I went in looking to buy a dining room table and chairs. Finding what we wanted and purchasing was quick and painless. We set up the furniture to be delivered the following week and then the waiting game began.
I love this location. My parents have been shopping here for years, if you want good customer service, friendly faces, & someone who knows about the furniture business definitely come here & they will take good care of you. Ask for Jerry, he sold us our first piece of furniture. Thanks Jerry for your great service & help
I expressed that I wasn't satisfied about the extended wait time and only receiving half of my order and asked what they could do to correct the situation to which they replied nothing since I already got a deal on the table and chairs. The third week rolled around and I finally did receive the chairs.
I had service come out said they would call me in a few days. I called Value City. They said they tried calling but my voicemail was full BUT you think they would call again. My voicemail was only full 1 day. I waited 12 days. I called them. ??????
The furniture is OK. It looks nice and is going to last for several years but furniture has cheap plastic legs and I already found a loose staple hanging out on the bottom of the ottoman. If you have children and or pets you may want to flip the furniture and check for hazards.
