All-in-all, I was quite disappointed by this repair process. They also tried to claim that they didn't break it (it's a fact that they did), and they were only repairing it to avoid an issue with me, the customer. But the fact is, they caused a bigger issue by taking so long to repair it.
I bought a piano in Cleveland Hts and had it delivered to Elyria, They were very helpful in setting up a pick up time and delivery times and the 2 gentlemen that delivered the piano did an outstanding job keeping the baby grand protected and delivered safe. Very professional! The reception person was really helpful and she even set me up with a great piano tuner.
Tracy was easy to work with. Dealt with all my calls confirming time and date. Movers were excellent and very quick. They were in and out within five minutes.
If they are able to successfully move your piano without any damage, this company is great. But, if you end up needing a repair, get ready for it to take a long time, and for them to blame you for it. I would not recommend Allied, unfortunately.
I would not recommend this company. I had a customer service style issue with them. The office manager, Tracy, is very rude and clearly does not understand the business. It sounds like she far under pays her workers, too. They moved my piano on time and they did a good job. However, it was discovered right after they left that they cracked my music desk during the move because they left it in the piano, and smashed it between furniture pads.
The company offered to repair it, and I accepted. However, this repair process proceeded to take 2 months. At the 1 month point, I thought it was going to get delivered, but they called that morning saying they made a mistake and it wasn't repaired yet. Then, once it was finally repaired (supposedly), it apparently sat around for 2 weeks before they got around to picking it up to return to me.
These guys are really pros! It was magical to see them work. They folded up my grand piano into a "hat box" and placed it gently into my new tiny apartment on the fourth floor. My piano will never be touched by a general mover again. Friendly, quick and professional - I am a fan!
The delivery crew was very professional, courteous and efficient. I could not be happier! Thanks for a great job.
