Been there a few times since reopening. The place is beautiful, clean, friendly. The seating is great. The sound is beautiful in there and best of all it feels like regardless of how busy it maybe you feel like it's your own place. Great place
Nicely restored old theatre..public parking nearby. Too many commercials and previews before movie. Friendly staff.
Love the Capitol, but our most recent visit Sunday at 7 pm was very disturbing. We had a man come up to us outside and demand money for his baby. Refused and he got very vocal and in our face. Kept his hand in coat pocket and continued to follow us demanding mony. Was not going to start anything but turned the evening into a bad night. We love visiting but will not go back other at peak times. The theater shou I'd consider hiring cops to watch the area.
You can't hate on your local, independent theater. The Capitol location is in a great spot, relative to other nightlife. The theater itself is clean, comfortable, and well-run. All the usual concessions plus a nice beer, wine, and cocktail selection. I'm a big fan of the special showings they arrange with local organizations and re-running classics/cult classics along with the usual recent releases. It feels good to enjoy a flick in a theater with so much history and ran by people that care about films as an artform and expression of our culture.
Theater is great but I just do like the seats. I would prefer if the seat were more of a stadium.
