After getting a camera ticket for going 30 in a 20MPH zone (nothing on ticket about it being a school zone) at the 6041 block of Ridge Road ($200 fine), I went to Parma City Hall to discuss the issue with someone. While I was looking for the right office, a woman in the hall (who never identified herself) asked if she could help me. I told her what I explained that I was there about a ticket and she said that if I wanted a hearing, I had to pay the $200 "BOND". I said I wasn't going to do pay that and that I wasn't the driver. She said that I needed to put the name of the driver on the affidavit. I explained to her that I was not legally required to do that. She insisted that if I didn't, I would be responsible for the fine. I know from experience that in Ohio, when it comes to moving violations, the owner of the vehicle cannot be held accountable, as they can with a parking ticket. The woman kept interrupting me and acted as if she knew the law when she obviously didn't. And then she had the nerve to get mad when I politely told her to kiss my ass. BEWARE, people! For them to tell you that YOU will be responsible for someone else's fine is not just a threat, I am told that it is EXTORTION!
Well what do i have to say about the city of Parma it was always a bunch of idiots from 1980's to 2017 nothing but jerks and creeps also very nepotistic the same people have run every thing for 30 years hear .the city over tax's the home owners never takes care of the streets or the side walks its like Parma is a money maker not a city. also lots of new scumbags and ghetto trash moving in and getting free housing . while good people cant fix their homes it is a sad state in evil Parma!
I went there to get birth certificate for my daughter as the closing time mentioned in their website is 04:30 pm. After driving for 40 min, they closed the section and posted a note on the top of the wall mentioning the closing time as 04:00pm. I would appreciate if the details were mentioned specifically so that I could have avoided a boring long drive. The place is clean. Parking is not an issue.
The city never fix's the streets never cleans the sewers never cleans the snow and over tax;s the home owners but they sure give millions to the public schools that teach nothing and pay to build a new Parma town mall when their was nothing wrong with the old one and builds a new pool for the dirt bags to go swimming while the home owners starve to pay for all this garbage also police pull people over for nothing but to make more money for the courts that are filled with nasty liberal idiots as well as having 100 churches that don,t pay any tax at all and the home owners once again flip the bill for all of this garbage then their are the section 8 scumbags that Parma keeps moving in that gets every thing for free while the tax payer has to pay the bill again and again. also the city is nepotistic and has the same people working for 40 years at the same city jobs. this is the worst run city next to Cleveland it's like the Mafia the Unions and the Catholic church and Planed parent hood run every thing here.
I needed to pay my parma taxes, and when i called they were very helpful to me.
