When I first met Michael in his office, he came in with a big birthday cake and we all had some as we discussed my case. I liked him right off the bat. He is professional, bright, funny, cordial, sympathetic in a real way, and knows the system. If you have dealt with Social Security, you know how bad it can be. If not, stop now and call Michael. It is a long arduous process, even with an attorney. With his help I won my SSDI case. I truly don't believe I would have won without him, bottom line. I had a good legitimate case, but not a cut and dry one. Even if I wouldn't have won, I feel that Michael was doing all that could be done to win it. He always answered my questions promptly and courteously, no matter how often or uninformed they were. He was always positive but not unrealistic with me, and was prepared to take this as far as it could go. When I asked him about how long it could go and how large a settlement could be, he relayed one story of a very long and large one. Knowing his fee is capped, I said that's kind of bad for you(!) He shrugged it off and said he was happy to make a friend of the man and his family and he got some great references, so that was fine. I signed up. No regrets.
