Excellent library for research. I love all of the public service areas available in both bldgs. I'd love to see Sunday hours at this major/central location.
Great place to be. Out of the other libraries in IN,OH, and KY, this is by far the best one to use. Great resources here and awesome equipment to use to help businesses grow.

The makerspace at CPL is a great resource, but the staff and management operate like a bunch of johnny come latelies. Poorly trained and managed, they seem to have at the most only a cursory knowledge of the software, equipment and applications, and have a laissez-faire attitude towards technology in general. As a result, I've had to personally help, train and share insights with other patrons. Decision making and critical thinking skills also leave a lot to be desired. The staff's wheelhouse excludes the idiosyncrasies, skill sets and prerequisites necessary for an engaging makerspace experience. Ultimately, better training and/or reassignment should be considered by CPL leadership.
This library has the largest accessible chess collection that I know of...
BTW there librarians are the nicest, and the most knowledgeable I have seen in America, they will go out of there way to help you...
