Dave's is a clean supermarket. The Vegetables always appear fresh. The prices are responsible for a Union worker store. The hours are great, open early and close late. The issues, The hot food is limited. I purchased a fish dinner and chicken wings. The fish was greasy and cooked too hard. The wings had a burned in old grease taste. When I compliant, I was spoken to rudely by the staff. Finally, the lines are too long - more than 7 people in two lines with a lot of food in several carts. Needed a 10 item or less checkout to be open. Don't go to the store on Tuesday after 8pm, the prices will be changed for the following week sale.
The best outfitted Dave's in the chain, though Euclid Beach has better greens:) Please support the Saltzman's if for no other reason than they have stayed in neighborhoods other stores have abandoned. They support our communities, pay them back! Thanks, Burt.

This is a nice neighborhood grocery store that has been in the neighborhood for generations. They have a deep commitment to the community and run a clean safe store to shop in. I can't give the store five stars because the selection of foods is limited and the prices are slightly higher than Wal-Mart. I went to the store to buy some fresh rosemary so I could make some oven roasted potatoes. They did not have it which was surprising considering the population that surrounds the store would buy this herb. They also do not carry a larger selection of nationally branded meats that most would expect. The butcher shop is top notch and their selection of seafood is excellent. The staff is more than friendly and helpful which to me makes the difference and is the sole reason why I continue to shop here.
The prices are a little much. But it's expected after all it's a grocery store. The food is fresh and the butchers are good!
